Exam results day 2020
Well done to each and every one of our young people who received results this year and thank you for sharing them! We’d like to wish them all luck stepping in to the next chapter of their education!
RESULTS DAY 2020
August time. Ordinarily a time filled with emotions ranging from excitement to terror. Worry to elation that the wondering will soon be over. Soon I will know what path my future will take…
Exams in 2020 however have been a little different.
The lead up to August for most young people across the country awaiting exam results has been filled will stress and anxiety. Will I get the same results as my Mocks? What if I don’t? Will my chosen college accept me? Will I get in to university? What if I don’t, then what?
So many questions filled the minds of the young people across the nation and then just like that, on August 13th and 20th the wait was over. GCSE and A Level Results were released and future plans and hopes began to feel real.
We called each of our foster carers and young people to gather the results personally. We found out how they were feeling and what their next steps would be and the response was brilliant.
So many calls filled with happiness, excitement and relief. Our young people received some wonderful results this year. One young lady in particular received A grades in Law, Sociology and Psychology and will be going on to study Law at University in September. What a fantastic achievement!
Understandably with the way grades were awarded this year, not everyone received what they expected or hoped for. Our fantastic foster carers are strong advocates of education and their support and dedication to their foster children has ensured that each young person has a plan for September. Whether that be place at a college, sixth form or alternative education setting. Your care and support during this challenging year has been outstanding.
Well done to each and every one of our young people who received results this year and thank you for sharing them! We’d like to wish them all luck stepping in to the next chapter of their education!
